Snowy cold winters, pristine nature, the northern lights: this is what Hong Kong people quite often know about Finland. Together with our local partner Pear & Carrot we at METTÄ have been working hard this autumn to introduce the best of Finnish nature - herbs, berries, and mushrooms - to people living in this part of the world. The beginning of December was full of Christmassy activities and we now want to share more about them with you!
The festive weekend was kicked off with the Finnish Independence Day Gala on the 6th of December. As a happy event sponsor, we were giving away some of our gift boxes filled with Nordic delicacies. The Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is arranging the event for more than 100 guests each year. Next year we plan to see METTÄ also as a part of the gala’s menu with our favourite, bubbly recipe for the festive season: berry xylitol toasts!
The weekend continued at the Finnish Christmas market that took place in Central Hong Kong. At our booth, visitors could taste our products and pick their favourites to include in their Christmas. Can you guess what were the most popular products? The top three was clearly: Lingonberry Xylitol, Porcini Salt and Calm Sleep Herbal Tea which all sold out! That is not a surprise if you know these products. ;) They are all extremely tasty and very easy to use - especially in densely populated, hectic Hong Kong, where people work for long hours and live in small apartments with no large kitchens. Here, they are looking for easy-to-use, tasty, and healthy products to add into their cupboards.
