During our campaign in October at RUOHONJUURI, Ruohonjuuri donates all the proceeds of METTÄ's Calm Sleep herbal tea through the Finnish Interpedia RY to SA Cares for Life, a South African organization, to improve the lives of people living in the Plastic City slum.

Spruce sprouts are deliciously bitter, bright green, young tips of spruce trees that are found on the end of the branches in spring time. Spruce sprouts are increasingly popular year by year, especially in the Nordic countries, and for good reason.

Like each spring, the time has come to get excited about foraging! We are once again organizing wild herb foraging courses through our Helsinki Wildfoods collective.

One of our favourite wild herb is the spruce sprout, our main ingredient in our novelty Forest Defence Herbal Tea. Nutrient-rich spruce sprout tastes fresh and brings a tangy, citrus like flavour that works nicely with sweet stuff. Why not combine it with the best, raw, naked, organic honey there is in Finland? 

We have been exploring totally new product ideas especially for export markets. We are super delighted to share that we will launch a product family called "Berry Bites", gourmet snacks made of Finnish berries. 

Snowy cold winters, pristine nature, the northern lights: this is what Hong Kong people quite often know about Finland. Together with our local partner Pear & Carrot we at METTÄ have been working hard this autumn to introduce the best of Finnish nature - herbs, berries, and mushrooms - to people living in this part of the world.
